A residential professional project I worked on during my experience at Pembrooke & Ives, New York.
I carried this project through the phases of design development, construction documents and construction administration.

 

The scope consisted in the gut renovation of two five-story New York City townhouses located in the
Upper East Side on a landmark protected area. In this 15 000 square feet project, figuring out old buildings construction techniques became essential to overcome unexpected field conditions and to design a singular residence in which past and present blended seamlessly. The project was designed alongside director Francis Nicdao and senior designer Nuno Cortico, and together we reinterpreted traditional and historical details with a contemporary twist to meet client expectations.
