The aim of this project was to develop a promotional, public communication that confronts aspects

of medium and size through the design of a poster and supporting Instagram post.


What became interesting here was the exploration of the dialogue between the extremes of scale presented by alternate communication media. It was very fascinating to discover the balance of legibility and visual impact at very large and very small sizes. The ultimate goal was to have the two media complement each other, by distributing information between them in a way that maximizes each one’s size and functionality.


Passionate about flying trapeze and circus performance in general, I decided to design a poster for the Cirque Du Soleil iconic show, Alegría. I have seen that show twice, but recently the all-time classic has been reimagined for a new generation to fall in love with. As a performance characterised by its joyous magical feeling, I tried to embody this energy in my illustrations and composition.
